THE IDEA
	I came up with the idea of Air-Table while attending the Westminster Kennel Club show in 2001. After dragging all of my equipment across the street to Madison Square Garden, I thought to myself, "There must be a better way."

The 24" x 36" grooming table I was using at the time weighed 34 pounds (probably the same as the one you're using today). I came home from the show and went to work. I came up with a table that was unbelievably light – under 18 pounds for the same size table as before.

Safe and Strong Just to be sure that this table would hold up to the rigors of constant use and abuse that a professional handler would dish out, I used the first prototype on my own Great Pyrenees during his campaigning. Surprisingly, no structural failures in three years of showing. I did experiment with a number of coatings until I found one that was durable and attractive.
